This reminds me that I need to sign up for Platinum Hits, whenever the next season starts. Although IDK how it'll go. I've been in a dry spell for a while, and I tend to be very hit or miss. Plus I'm one of those people who can't just write about a particular topic on command. But I want to give it a shot.
But back onto this ANTM challenge: really stuck with like seven songs, and I can't decide if I should use studio or acoustic for one of them. And there's another that I kinda want to take out, but I already named my EP after one of its lyrics.

Yeah...I'm just worried about the paragraph part. Wondering if my music speaks for itself and if I should include one. Probably will just incase

Me too! My first album is the finding happiness / coming out album, second is the love and heartbreak album (themed around Achilles), and the third... would probably be the super gay dance pop album, but IDK.
And I agree @ the pop stigma. (Art)Pop could mean anything, so I don't see why it has such a bad rep.
Let's get signed and slay 2017 together! :date1:

Really? The paragraph is the most essential part for me. It's what ties the whole thing together.

Say you've been signed to a major record label and had the rare opportunity to actually be heavily involved with the album, how would you have your debut sound be like to introduce yourself to the public?
For me, each of my album releases would be like peeling back layers to types of genre's I like. My first album though would be your usual mainstream pop record with some EDM and urban flavors.
|
For a major record label I'd do the same. I mainly write EDM or R&B songs and it's what I was known for when I was in Platinum Hit. But I'm not sure though, it depends on what my label thinks as well and the type of music that is currently trending. I'd eventually want to do a pop-rock sound similar to Paramore or Fall Out Boys but it all depends.

You should enter the next one just for the experience. I wasn't gonna join but GotSkill and TT recommended I joined and it was worth it. The deadline forces you to come up with something and it's fun to see what you and the other contestants come up with plus lovesong is hosting next season

I'm not hosting. Sam will be hosting!
My schedule for the fall was way busier than I anticipated so I had to withdraw. But i'm sure i'll be involved somehow.

Now that I've seen Platinum Hit, I've almost thought about joining the next season.
My thing is I haven't written a FULL song in YEARS. All I have is my material that I wrote from like ages 13 to 16

It'd be called: Rainbow Queens

The rainbow you are radiating is so bright, I just saw a bunch of leprechauns running towards you thinking you had their gold.

I think I'll post my two unused ideas in here at some point. One of them was a really cute idea; I just couldn't come up with the songs for it.

Literally just go for it, it's a lot of fun and really rewarding to see what you can create. I had never written a song before, like at all, but coming up with concepts, titles, and putting together an actual song was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

I plan on signing up for Platinum Hit, and I just wrote my first full song last night. Let me hone my skills to make a top ten debut.

It was so tense every week when we got our comments/scores. My excuse after being dragged was "this song means a lot to me and I wrote it from my heart" Oh and the "this is a marathon not a sprint."
The struggle was real last season, idk if a mod joining would be a good idea. Not to say that you couldn't, because obviously you could but it might throw off the balance a bit.
