Same. I kind of wonder if my song is detailed enough too. I feel like it might be on the simpler side lyrically but I guess it sounded more complex when I imagined its sound.
I'll probably wait until tomorrow too. You never know when you might have a sudden spark of creativity!

Sometimes the simplest lyrics can have the biggest impact. You never know what string of words are going to resonate with someone and enter them into that complex, emotional frame.
For me, I keep reading my song over and feeling like it comes across as a poem more than a song. There's an definite melody there and everything, but there's still that thought of like, "was that rhyme too obvious? Am I serving Mother Goose right now?"
but yeah,
exactly! I was comfortable with my song last night, but I had a flash of insight today at school, quickly grabbed a piece of scrap paper and reconstructed my verse.

A. Submit a song 10 minutes after the challenge was posted.
B. Admit 10 minutes before the deadline that they didn't start writing yet.
and then if they got dragged they'd be like, "But I put my whole heart into this song!!!11!!1!" Like, I saw you post about writing it in 10 mins, so don't try it
So anyway, posh, I'm glad you're taking time to perfect it Usually that is reflected in the quality!

with a craft like songwriting, I feel like you can easily differentiate the people who are doing it as a task, and the ones who felt inspired/really put thought into every line.
I hope that my eye for detail will reflect in this song! Although the contents of the song are very light-hearted and not at all serious, I still need to capture the perfect flow and make sure it's not lyrically overcrowded.
