I have a very close relationship with my siblings and would absolutely help them out if I had the ability to. However, Mariah's relationship with Allison is more similar to my relationship with my mother, who I have tried to help many times over the years (including financially), but who continues to be a hot mess. While I still talk to her, I stopped listening to her pleas for help ages ago. She asks me for money all the time and although I have it to give to her, I just say no and tell her to take responsibility for herself. Maybe that looks mean to some people, but I see it as the right thing to do given my first-hand experiences with her over the years. So I can completely see how MC would not feel obligated to help her out now, especially given her history of trying to help her in the past.
Didn't even watch the video, but if Wendy said she should pay the bills, I think she shouldn't.
