Marina & The Diamonds performs at Apple Pride Event
Marina & The Diamonds loves Apple... and the gays! She should her love of the gays in a performance at Apple's gay pride parade. All the gays really enjoyed it. Marina appeared on stage and sang a 3 song set consisting of Where The Diamonds Grow, Myths, and How To Be A Heartbreaker. A video of the performance was uploaded to Apple's youtube page and has accumulated over 4 million views already! Marina wore an outfit similar to the one she wore in her newest video for her song "Where The Diamonds Grow". "Where The Diamonds Grow" and "The Money EP" are now available to purchase on iTunes now.
Britney Spears stopped by Dancing With The Stars tonight to perform her hit single Gimme Your Best. She also was a guest judge on the panel and provided the contestants with constructive criticism.
She took to the stage herself to perform Gimme Your Best to end the show. She was wearing a long red gown as she sang a slowed down ballad version of Gimme Your Best center stage. Britney walked around center stage as she gave it her all vocals-wise, hitting very high and low notes. Dancers handing on threads of red swung around in the air as Britney powered through Gimme Your Best. After a minute and a half of the slow ballad version, the stage went pitch black.
After 10 seconds the lights were back on as a futuristic plane was coming out from under the stage with Britney in a special agent suit on the top of it. "10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1.. blastoff!" Britney danced on top of the plane as the Junkie XL Remix of Gimme Your Best began playing. Britney moved her body on top of the plane sensually as she performed several flexible dance moves. Britney was singing live and chanting with her "woohs" as she gave it her all alone on stage while fire shot out from the ground surrounding the plane. Britney jumped off the plane and onto a flying circular platformas her female special agents came out as well. Britney flew around the stage for a little before jumping down to the stage. Britney and the female special agents danced sensually to the chorus of Gimme Your Best center stage as smoke surrounded them, they all kicked their legs up in unison while the chorus came to a close.
Britney then got into her ring of fire as SWAT team men came to the stage attempting to grab Britney. The female special agents pushed them off the stage as they shot out red laser beams which Britney avoided through her flexible movements on stage. Once all the guys were pushed away, water starting raining down on the girls and Britney, putting out the fire. The girls performed a technical dance break and did several twirls and leg kicks, showing off their flexibility. They then got down to the ground in a triangle formation with Britney at the peak as they touched each other and rubbed their bodies on the ground to the ending of Gimme Your Best.
#BritneyDancingWithTheStars and #BritneyGimmeYourBest trended WW throughout the show as fans of the show were happy to see such a heavy dancing number as well as some incredible live vocals from the pop princess. Britney's new album comes out July 13th and the show promoted the album cover/release date after the performance by displaying a picture of the cover with the release date added on for all the fans after the performance ended.
Kim Kardashian: Hollywood Update! New Mission & Britney Soundtrack!
Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is a new massively popular app for iOS & Android. The objective of the game is to "create your own aspiring celebrity and rise to fame and fortune." Kardashian's self-titled game app allows players to select clothes, hit the clubs, and "fall in love". The Bound 2 vixen serves as a guide for the player, advising them on photo shoots and shopping trips.
The game received a miniature update today which involves a new soundtrack and a new mandatory mission.
New soundtrack:
The game used to have a soundtrack of house music but the soundtrack has been altered with today's update. The game now exclusively plays Britney's hit single "Gimme Your Best" and all of it's alternate remix versions. The game doesn't play any other song, only the original version of Gimme Your Best as well as all five remixes.
New mission:
The new mission involves Pop Princess/American Dream Britney Spears herself as an in game version of Miss Spears requires help choosing outfits for her album cover photo-shoot and naughty girl tour. Spears also asks the player for their opinion on which album cover she should use, picking the official album cover results in the player getting 300k fans as Britney tweets at the player thanking them for their help with choosing the cover. If you choose an incorrect album cover you only gain 125k fans. The mission does not stop there, as Britney needs someone to accompany her to an award show called the "Hollywood Awards". The player accompanies her there and helps Britney escape from the paparazzi taking pictures of her while receiving massive exposure for being with Britney, gaining 500k fans and 40 Kim K stars. An animated Britney Spears performs "Gimme Your Best" at the Hollywood Awards with tons of choreography and sparkling effects. If the player pleases Britney and uses their charm on her during the Hollywood Awards, Spears takes them for a night out at the clubs with Kim Kardashian in which they gain 1.5 million fans, 160 Kim K Stars, and 100 energy bolts for being followed by the paps and on the cover of "Hollywood Magazine" with a "Girls Gone Wild" headline.
Marina & The Diamonds releases Netflix special outtake, cover of "Jumanji" by Azealia Banks
As explained by Marina after the leak, the performance was planned for the special but never made it because of consistency issues. The video features Marina performing a cover of Azealia Banks' song "Jumanji". At the end of the video, the credits read: "Buy The Money EP And Where The Diamonds Grow Now". Marina tweeted about the leak:

On CBS tonight was a concert special done by Azealia Banks in which Azealia performed every song off of her new album as well as did an interview with Barbara Walters. The special lasted 2 hours long and attracted 8 million viewers to watch this event. #RebornOnCBS trended and was promoted as the top trending hashtag on Twitter for the past 24 hours. The entire performance special has been sent to DVD after it aired and will hit shelves immediately. A deluxe edition of the DVD is being sold in which is contains a poster and a copy of Paradiso's Remix EP.
The entire concert special was filmed in a French chateau in North Long Island. All designs and outfits were done by Valentino or Dolce & Gabbana. The outside of the chateau was brick with moss and leaves covering the walls and a fountain out front. At the start of the special, Azealia Banks welcomes the film crew inside of the chateau Azealia is residing in. After this, Azealia does a performance in the backyard of the chateau where a large stone stage has been set up. This is where the majority of the performances take place. For the interview, Azealia is interviewed by Barbara inside the lobby of the Chateau underneath a large and grand chandelier that proceeds from the ceiling 6 feet with diamonds and lights dangling down on top of them. The chairs used for the interview are made of a red silk and the chair's wood is mahogany. During the interview, Azealia wears a peach pantsuit with a baby blue undershirt with matte close toed matching peach pumps. For Azealia's hair, she wears it a purple/red shade that goes down to the middle of her back.
For the opening performance, Azealia performed her latest single off of her new album Reborn, Paradiso. For Paradiso's performance, Azealia had on a Valentino designed greek gown that was white and died in an ombre of blue. With this, Azealia had an elaborate Mardi Gras style mask that was a matching white. Azealia's hair was in a pony tail of purple and red that was put off to the side. At the start of the performance, Azealia had the ends of the luxurious gown attached to the end of each of her middle fingers and as she raised her head and hands, Azealia looked straight up at the sky with a goddess stance. In this stance, Azealia had a headset mic attached to her which she rapped her verses through as she continued to look straight up at the sky. When it came time for the chorus, Azealia ripped off the mask and began singing the chorus of Paradiso as she held onto the mic in between her fingers. When she hit the high note in the chorus, doves were unleashed from behind her. Covering the stage for this performance of Paradiso were tall white Roman columns standing tall on the stone stage with a light layer of smoke floating above the stone. The performance of Azealia's Paradiso lasted for 6 minutes and twenty seconds and contained the extra bridge and verse which is included in the extended mix on the remix EP. This performance of Paradiso resulted in the song's increase on iTunes greatly for both the remixes and the original. The performance of Paradiso was the only performance of those done that was uploaded on YouTube.
Other notable performances of the night were Azealia's performance of Bound to Sin which was filled with BDSM attire and paraphernalia. The performance had Azealia in a diamond encrusted latex bodysuit complete with a decked out gas mask covered in diamonds. Azealia's performance of Deep Grays also gained a lot of attention as an emotional performance. The entire performance of Deep Grays was filmed in black and white and had Azealia wearing a black Valentino sparkly gown with her hair in a bun with an empty room surrounding her as she rapped the emotional lyrics with her tears falling. Closing out the event, Azealia performed her song Vibes which was all about lights and glamour. Azealia wore a light blue jumper and was duct taped to a chair with dancers feeling on her throughout this performance of Vibes.

Throughout the night, Azealia answered interview questions from Barbara Walters in between performances. Altogether, the interview lasted a total of 40 minutes and was praised as emotional and relatable by critics and fans on Twitter. Highlights of the interview are below:
Q: I've been waiting for this interview.
A: You have?
Q: Yes I have. It's been on my plans to talk to you. You're such an interesting person. Where do you get it?
A: Thank you. Well I don't really know haha. I've always been this way. Creativity has always flown through my veins for my entire life. I don't why where I'd be if it weren't for me being able to reach through to my fans creatively.
Q: Your new single Paradiso is such an amazing song. What was it like recording it?
A: It was a relief to record Paradiso because see I had recorded so many sad songs before I recorded Paradiso and I felt the album needed a smile in the midst of all the frowns. Good frowns though! But it needed a lifter upper. I feel that's what Paradiso. Something everyone can relate to. It's fun, exciting, and different. No one has done anything like it. No one has ever released a 60s-ish beach song with a hint of house and a rapper going over it. It's never been done. I am proud of Paradiso as a work and as a success.
Q: The song really has been a great success for you. It's been everywhere. What's next for Azealia though?
A: What's next? Well I have a deal with Valentino that's being set up. I plan to have details on that out before the end of the week so very soon. Me and Valentino have been friends for a while now so I'm excited about this. I'm performing Paradiso at his party this weekend which will be streamed on YouTube.
Q: What about music? Even though you just released Reborn, do you plan on doing a re-release?
A: A re-release? Well maybe, it all depends on how this week and future weeks go. I don't want to re release an album no one was here for, you know? I definitely would love to do that though. I love making music and putting it out there for the fans to hear so yeah totally I could see myself doing that.
Q: You recently spoke of doing New Orleans Bounce music, what's inspired you to do that?
A: Well what inspired me to really look into that genre of music is that it hasn't been tapped into yet. It's such a good genre and it's so genuine. I'd love to make some bounce music.
Q: In the Paradiso music video, which already has 25 million views, congratulations, you are a mermaid in that video. What's with you and mermaids?
A: Well mermaids are beautiful and perfect. When you think Paradise you think the ocean and mermaids are in the ocean. I love the whole Atlantis stories and stuff like that. I'm just so inspired by Atlantis in my work. The sea is forever an inspiration for me, which is weird for a New York girl to say but yeah the sea is always an inspiration.

Britney opened the show with a Top 10 countdown of the hottest songs of the week in which Gimme Your Best landed at #1. She was then interviewed by David Letterman and performed her hit single, Gimme Your Best.
Highlights of the interview:
David: So Britney, your new bad girl remix is certainly making media waves, how do you feel about people thinking it was a say trashy thing to do?
Britney: It's called the "bad girl mix" we got really drunk and stupid and we just recorded ourselves being good girls gone wild and you know it's all in good fun seriously! I was just being a bad girl for the BAD GIRL mix! Like I don't actually do that stuff in my every day life and the point of it was just to fit the video, we had too much to drink and we were good girls gone wild and i thought huh, why not record it for the fans *laughs*
David: Your new single Gimme Your Best and it's doing really well, it's being used in a lot of marketing campaigns actually from Pepsi to Maybelline to Call Of Duty and now even Kim Kardahsian's app is using the song!
Britney: Yeah it's really cool I mean I get a lot of offers and I of course am flattered to accept and have the song used on so many different platforms.
David: Your MTV documentary comes out tomorrow and it basically covers everything you've been doing the past few weeks and your plans for the upcoming few months with your tour and album. Just how personal is it?
Britney: I've been recording for the past two months 24/7 so it's really as personal as it gets and the camera catches me in some of my worst and best moments over the past 2 months and it's all there, it is all there in that two hour special. There is not a boring minute and it's really like an invasion of my personal and professional life. If you wanna know anything about me, watch it.. There's a reason it's called Behind The Celebrity because you get to see me behind the facade behind the "Britney Spears" and find out who I really am and what I've really gone through.
David: Your album "American Dream" comes out this Sunday, why should everyone grab a copy?
Britney: Well it's really my best album yet I have some of the best producers and actual music on that album and also the vocals are really good, much better than previous albums and uh it's just a totally feel good summer pop record. It's a perfect summer album for driving to the beach and having a good time and you know feeling sexy haha.
David:Who is your favorite pop star?
Britney: Oh gosh my favorite pop star? That's a hard question David.. uh.. I think it's a tie between Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson.
David: What's your favorite show on TV right now?
Britney: Oh gosh my favorite show on TV right now.. uh I really get into Big Brother during the summer.
David: Well I wanna say congratulations on everything and you'll be performing for us tonight, correct?

For the performance of Gimme Your Best, Britney took to the piano wearing a long white gown as she sang a piano-ballad version of Gimme Your Best while smoke surrounded the stage and beautiful light effects kept the audience entertained. Britney sung the song beautifully not missing a note and adding in several new high notes to impress the audience. She stood up and walked around center stage for the final chorus of Gimme Your Best as dancers came down from the ceiling on long white threads and began dancing around her. Fire shot out of the stage as Britney powered through some hard vocals leaving the crowd in awe. Spears turned away from the audience as the song came to a close and smoke surrounded the stage, ending the performance.

Azealia performed another soldout night of her theatre promo tour tonight in Las Vegas. Before the show, Azealia had projected her CBS special onto the screens as her opening act. The crowd loved it and went wild as all 8 thousand of them were watching the CBS special air live as it was on TV. In the audience, Azealia saw Angelina Jolie and fam and shouted her out as one of her favorite actresses of all time. At the merchandise stand, all copies of Reborn and physical copies of Paradiso were soldout..

Applegate scandal involves more than just Zedd's own songs
Things just keep getting worse for popular EDM producer Zedd. Earlier this week, it was discovered that all of his songs were removed from iTunes. The Internet was quick to dub this incident as "Applegate." It seems like this scandal is growing, however.
It was discovered earlier today that the Ariana Grande song Break Free, which features Zedd, has also been removed from iTunes. Her team also had thought it was a glitch, and then, like Zedd's team had, discovered Apple intentionally removed it due to Zedd's "misbehavior," as Apple likes to call it. "I can't believe," said Grande of this incident, "that someone would remove my song just because it features someone they don't like. I encourage everyone to buy their music from Amazon or Google Play from now on." Grande's fans trended things such as "#BreakFreeFromiTunes," "#PutBreakFreeBackOniTunes," "#StopUsingiTunes," "#UseAmazon," and "#UseGooglePlay." The related tweets included many threats to Apple and people within Apple. Grande wants to clarify that she does not condone violence, but still encourages people to use alternatives to iTunes.
Now, even songs that Zedd only produced (but didn't feature in) have been removed. This includes songs such as Lady Gaga's "G.U.Y.," "Aura," and "Donatella" from her ARTPOP album, Eva Simmons' "I Don't Like You," Namie Amuro's "Heaven" from her album Feel, and Justin Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat" from his album Believe. It is evident that there is mass uproar over Apple's decision.
Apple has released another statement:

While we realize that fans of the involved artists are disappointed, we had to make this decision to protect our business. If we run out of artists to promote our products with, then we'll end up as the next Atari or Compaq. If you want us to continue making products, we must do this.
Fans of the artists involved immediately ran to Twitter and started trending things such as "Apple are liars," "#BankruptApple2014," and other similar things. The media instantly hopped on this statement as well, criticizing them for stating that they "had to" do this, when they clearly did not need to. It seems like the media is on Zedd's side of the scandal. There's even been dissent in Apple fan groups, with some questioning Apple's motives as well as some defending them.
Hopefully, this scandal fades away soon. In the meantime, Amazon and Google have reported record highs in music sales; "Temple," Zedd's current single, has been number one on both for the whole day. Other Zedd-produced tracks sit in the top 40, including "I Don't Like You," "Beauty and a Beat," "Clarity," and "G.U.Y." On the albums chart, ARTPOP, Believe, Clarity, and Journals have all made it into the top 10, with Clarity hitting number one there too. Preorders for Zedd's upcoming album Serenity are very high on Amazon and Google Play, according to the latest reports.
