Name me one artist that wanted to release a International Edition/release and a seperate US edition/release and it worked out in the end, beside Jason Derülo?
Jessie J tried to do that with Alive, label scrapped plans and it will be her 3rd album, since Alive was a sinking ship.
Kelly Rowland tried it the opposite way and released her album in the US first, but made a really lazy descision with the international release.
Nicole tried it with Killer Love and we know how that went.
I
really appriciate and respect your
optimism, but tbh the only reason why I like a WW release for the album atleast is that it means that fans actually have the album. I mean I have slight faith in Sony, but the concept never really works out properly.
A label can only spend their money once, and two seperate releases in two different time spans months later, will only cost more than it will be worth it. The only way this could work if she actually does it Jason Derülo's way tbh and release the album in the US under a different name, and release an EP with the same name of the international album around the same time as the international edition. But she will need a WW hit, to even let that succeed.
