if u remember properly she was still writing Warrior (the song) 3 days before her studio time was up. she completely scrapped the verses and rewrote it. it's also pretty evident throughout MCBL that there is this similarity.

Um that's the point tho. If she's going to surprise reveal the album she's gonna make it sound like she's still experimenting...
but that's probably not gonna be the case and she's actually not close to being finished. But she definitely would have enough material written for an album's worth by now from the the snippets and info we have alone... "Child Of The Moon", "Stay Gold", "Wolf Song", "You ****ed With The Wrong Bitch", "U Suck Ass", "Skeleton" etc. just to name a few titles we know she's written.
Plus the Zedd collab, possible Calvin Harris collab, something with HAIM perhaps? There's so much we know little bits about, other things we kinda know indirectly, things that are only rumour but have a strong likelihood of being true and of course all of the stuff we don't know..
Idk I'd like to believe she's trying to trick us, but in all honesty it makes so much more sense that she's still in the early stages. Working things out with Luke and trying a new sound are things that take time. And she doesn't seem the type to trick her fans if she can help it.

And maybe "experimenting" means figuring out which overall sounds and songs she wants to put on the album (Implying that she recorded lots of songs)

That could be one interpretation. But she's already said that she's making some really "not pop", crazy stuff that she doesn't know if she wants fans to hear yet.
