Unpopular opinion but I think 4minute pulled off the edgy concept miles better than 2ne1.

I think 2NE1 were more "unique concept" / "quirky clumsy" than flat out "badass edgy"

4minute were more serious about it (Crazy / Hate), 2NE1 were just having fun with it and trying to do things differently

But it doesn't matter, since 2NE1's ballads and midtempos are the best thing KPop ever birthed

True, Bom and Dara always felt so awkward, they didn't have the swag that Minzy and CL had. 4minute as a whole worked better (sans Jihyun but that's another story... but she finally pulled it off with the Hate promotions, sadly it was too late )

Their whole image was just so trashy to me and the plastic surgery botches were not it. I don't even think Dara is that pretty.
