I'm kinda bitter over the fact that it doesn't actually exist, though. I really want to listen to it.

Ah, I guess you would become a bit desensitized about that kind of stuff after being around it so much. That doesn't sound bad, though! Especially since being overly sensitive about stuff could play a huge negative role in your placement.
Plus, we are on the Internet right now, which has probably desensitized millions of people that go on sites like Reddit.
That's a good way of looking at it things! You could probably use that mindset outside of your placement, too.
