This must be a very small portion of the black community because the last place most people I know would be at on NYE is a church.

I'm not religious but i do go to church. Out of routine more than anything; like i feel awful when i miss but at the same time all i do when i'm there is play Angry Birds on my phone for the entire service + text, so....

What do you mean by organized religion? Like official religious institutions? My dad says he is religious, but doesn't believe in organized religion.

I don't know that religion altogether is going away. I know the numbers of religious people in the world is dropping, but I feel like it's a trend among mostly younger people. I'd like to see what the numbers are when this generation is middle-aged. Life can change your perspective sometimes. And then again sometimes not. So we'll see I guess.
