The best thing about Teenage Dream (both song and the video) is just how simple and enjoyable it is. There's nothing over the top tacky/annoying about it. It just stands out so much in her discography/videography.

The problem is that most of the stuff that hits top 10 these days is by some irrelevant people and it turns out be short lived fad that no one remembers by the time next one appears.

Just look at this and compare it to the current itunes



There was also that time in the middle of Teenage Dream and Loud eras when Gaga released Judas and On The Floor was smashing that most of relevant pop girls had a successful single out. It's just not happening these days.

iTunes charts are DISGUSTING nowadays in the U.S

Right. It's maybe nostalgia but at least we can all say that we still like most of those songs.

Who will even remember All About That Bass and Rude in 6 years, let alone listen to them. All those songs are still performed today due to people behind them being relevant.

At least we can count on Adele and Taylor to send all their album tracks in the top 20 when they release.
