You don't need to apologize, say whatever you want dude. I just feel like we got into this cycle of 'it's going to be a long time', 'we'll never see her again', etc. for so many years and it wasn't fun. But as has been brought up before, she basically starts it herself so idk why I'm coming after you for it.

Like I don't even care about there being a few years between eras, just about everybody has that at this point. It's just the fact that she talks (and exaggerates) so much about it, as soon as she came back she started it again, as if she'd rather be known for not doing anything at her arguable peak than for amazing vocals or powerful lyrics or connection to her audience or even selling more than anybody else that I find so incomprehensible.

Maybe it's a marketing ploy so that she gets the "Adele is back" sales boost again, maybe reflecting this onto us time and time again is her way of dealing with the stress of an unknown future, who even knows... either way it annoys me more than anything else she does so I just try to brush it off at this point, honestly.

WUTB climbed today over WWWY.
AIA has 15,2 million streams.
WUTB has 14,7 million streams.

The latter has been increasing way faster. AIA isn't way ahead.

In response to daydreams, it's not the break that bothers me but the fact that she cuts all ties to us during her hiatus. Like, you can't reach her at all. Therefore, I hope she leaves us in a more concrete manner than last time, when she left it hanging in the air. It would be easier for me to let go that way.

As for her taking long breaks, she's truly a genius. It just adds to her longevity. Like, she can say she's been in the industry for nearly 9 years already, and she's only 3 albums in. When she comes back, she'd have been in the industry for around 11-12 years, and when she ends the era, she would have been in the industry going on 14 years. Before we know it, she will have been in the industry for 20 years and be a solidified legend. Then we will all die eventually and it won't matter anyway because all we will be is either dust or decomposed flesh and bones. But whilst we are alive, it's a nice thing to celebrate.

The legends are the ones that can and do actively maintain a career for that long. E.g. I would never consider Sade a legend for that reason alone.

Hopefully. Though the fact she keeps saying she doesn't want to change anything is a bit concerning. Is the plan to make us wait 5 years at a time for 11 pop ballads for the rest of her career? Don't get me wrong, I love 25, and I know 21 is a one-off in many aspects, but the three years between 19 and 21 produced a better and more sonically different album, and a more unique era aesthetic than the five this past time did. I don't think it's as much about time, in fact I think she ended up questioning herself more with more time, the quality's more from going in knowing what she wants to write about and who she wants to do it with.

I'm ready for her to switch it up a bit, both with new content and away from the constant, overly long/intense disappearing act.

(Btw, I understand what you mean A-B. It's hard for me to articulate exactly what I'm hoping for without wrongfully sounding like I expect or want a new album from her every two seconds, but what you said is a part of it.)
