I love the mole. It's actually one of my favorite things about this era.
She's taking a traditional mark of beauty
and changing it, stretching it, calling attention to it, taking it out to the level of the grotesque, and beyond. Sometimes the mark of beauty consumes half her face, sometimes it has a square around it to draw attention to it, sometimes it's heart-shaped. I love it -- the surreal mole is a performance art piece in itself, all about changing your body to be beautiful, but doing it in YOUR way, and not giving a **** what anyone thinks.
