That's no ordinary Japan flag. That's the Japanese confederate flag. It reminds many of us about the country's colonialism and wartime stuff. I know most of you are not Asians, but it's something really sensitive.

was the flag of the Japanese imperial army and basically is Korea's (and others) version of the Confederate Flag, a flag that was used during when Korea was a colony of Japan.

Not in Korea's Liberation's day plus she didn't post any other flag than the Rising sun flag, aka the one hated by Korean, Chinese (she really needed that too), this flag is actually compared to the nazi swastika.

ok but it's easier for a third party to point out something you did wrong than for her to connect the dots in realtime when she's just hanging out and posting cute pictures on Instagram / using an instant geofilter tag on SC that's premade for her. It's easy to say "she should've known better" than to post a simple emoji / use that filter when someone has laid out all the facts for you and she's being lambasted on social media but to expect her to instantly process the ramifications of something so juvenile is kinda whack.

Tiffany should really have known better. There's just no excuse for what she did. But will she get over it? I think so. Girls' Generation were under fire during the Genie era for having images of the World War II Japanese A6M Zero fighter planes on the physical album. They had to re-edit it, and release the physical at a latter date.
