1 = JUSTIN BIEBER Love Yourself 192.514
3 = RIHANNA Work f/Drake 160.757
Songs with some chances to go #1:
6 +1 DNCE Cake By The Ocean 117.201
9 +1 ZAYN Pillowtalk 93.662
13 = MIKE POSNER I Took A Pill In Ibiza 83.374
14 = LUKAS GRAHAM 7 Years 83.256
15 = MEGHAN TRAINOR NO 82.687
I really don't see Zayn and DNCE going #1, the other three have some chances but they're pretty far and got small updates in the last few days. If we don't start falling on pop, we should go #1. (I don't see Rhy and Urb dropping it hard anytime soon).
This past Monday on Billboard:
1. Love Yourself : 147M (-5%, 155M last week)
3. Work 119M (+5%, 113M last week)
9. Pillowtalk 69M (+6%, 65M last week)
15. 7 Years 59M (+22%, 48M last week)
It has some chances to top the chart on April 4th. Hopefully.
Love Yourself is so god damn stable unfortunately. It's being held up by AC gains, its stable on HAC, and pop/rhythmic are not dropping it fast enough. A week ago things looked promising when it got a -3.0M update but that was just a random bad day.
The only chances for Work #1 overall is if pop radio keeps gradually building and it remains stable overall for a few weeks. It could happen maybe. But also, pop might give up soon and then its over.
Hot 100 wise, tomorrow is the beginning of Work's 7th tracking week at the top spot.
8 weeks at #1 is 95% guaranteed and 9 weeks is quite likely.
yes I actually see 8 weeks for sure and the 9th week is very possible....7 Years will be the next song to dethrone it but it's reign on top will be short because Meghan's "NO" is finally turning big.
Is there any chance for her to perform it at least once in the USA. She is driving me crazy sometimes. I mean the song can be the biggest song in her career if she would at least perform it one ****ing time.
By the way 6th and 7th weeks are in the pocket but if it continues to decrease like that on iTunes I don't see 8th week is happening tbh.
She just needs 1 performance or promo spot in the US to propel it to at least 10 weeks. Maybe a late night Jimmy Fallon skit or Karaoke with James Corden will do the trick.
But.. its Easter and songs usually get a big boost on iTunes with iTunes gift cards and what not. She can increase this weekend on sales. I think Meghan will drop sooner or later. I see 9 weeks she's still way ahead on streaming. She's beating Meghan and 7 Years on both Youtube and Spotify daily with an older song and video. The fact that this song is so huge without being a top 5 on radio speaks volumes. Hits don't usually peak so high on Billboard without heavy Pop airplay so Work is proof that Rihanna doesn't need it. A #8 peak on Pop for a possible 8 week number one single is very rare.
The only hope for Work promo is Fallon this week. It would actually be kinda cool if she did a version of it with the Roots, and maybe mashed it up with another song. Idk. She's touring nonstop and won't be in California until May.
8 weeks would be great...I'd rather her save the promo for the 2nd single to be honest...I think urban is going to start spinning Needed Me soon so it would be great if they start pushing Needed Me then
