a really good video will make this song soar, airplay would help downloads etc.
it may be too urban for pop but i think it can still work. rockstar 101 has attitude.
one thing rihanna does that kesha, britney and gaga dont do is shift her sound and vibe easily, whether it is slow, mid or uptempo. she moves from one tempo to the next whether she is successful or not. her discography is so diverse that she could show up at a POP only concert and do pop songs, show up at a reggae/dancehall concert and do only reggae/dancehall, or an r&b show and do only r&b songs. that is what i really like about her music.
let's not panick yet. rockstar 101 doesnt need to be peaking early with only downloads and no airplay. i hope it turns out like wat rudeboy did, airplay helped the downloads tremendously.
