His acting was decent. His role was a disaster. It's even worse considering the fact that Ryan didn't even have confirmation that NPH would join the show until the time episode 9 aired. If NPH hadn't played him, there was absolutely no way Chester would have gotten that much screentime, if he even existed at all, which means that episodes 11 & 12, and possibly the finale, could've been completely different
