Where did I say I was white or the people I was with are white?

Obviously you've never been to an Asian country. White people experience racism all the time.

Df? I like you sis, but to say that Caucasians can't experience racism is racist in itself ![Bibliotheque](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/biblio_zps23dff242.gif)

^It's people like you that have caused this thread to be a mess. Just allow white posters to share their experiences facing racism, and blacks and Asians and other races do the same.

I know plenty about the discrimination whites get from the minorities they have oppressed. That's what happens when you put down those who look different then you and make yourself the example of what the "perfect" human being is. They (minorities) get angry and lash out. That's not racism. It's called anger and frustration, and sometimes it leads to blind ignorance. Not my problem. I being part white, know both sides of the fence.

I remember I was in 8th grade and for just the second trimester I had a different English teacher than the first and second. Anyways her name was Ms. Leanna and she was a total ****. I usually hung out with my now best friend Maria and her now girlfriend Rosa. Well they're both Mexican and the teacher said "So you like the taco bell group. Make since you're always on the border about things." Well let's just say I called her a ***** and ugh I hated her.

Being at the club in Seoul and being told by a korean girl that I should get my "white ass out of here" is racism, not discrimination.

What you described is racism.
Secondly, I think the term "white" is discriminatory (and this is where I describe my experience with racism) . For someone like me with white skin but who is not Caucasian, I take offense when people are quick to label me as "white". I am Latino, born in Brazil, 4th generation Brazilian, so yeah Latino. I moved to the United States when I was 5, and all my life, I tell people I'm Latino. And they laugh it off and are like, "Yeah right." The color of someone's skin does not determine their race, and it is racist to refer to someone's race by the color of their skin. Race is so much more than pigmentation. So please, be more cautious of how you refer to people. You don't deny how many times I've had people deny me of my race.

No that's discrimination. I can understand how that must've hurt you real bad though. Just know there are people of color who are made to feel that way everyday by people who look like you. Not just one time in a bar in Seoul. ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

No it's not.
And you can think the term is racist but the world has created these titles. Your skin color defines you unfortunately. I didn't make these rules. Society did. People look at your skin color and assume no matter what. That won't change.

Yes, and it's racism both ways. I understand there is a lot of hate towards Caucasians for their past actions in the past, but that is still racism. Caucasians have caused other races to be racist towards them.

Obviously I'm not trying to change that, but it's still racism. Just because it is a standard, doesn't mean it's not racism. The fact that we think we can determine someone's race by looking at their skin color is just ![Lipton](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/5b373a2e.gif)
