An interesting new image for the Mario Kart 8 character selection screen has today surfaced, and it suggests that five new characters — including Diddy Kong, Birdo, and Kamek — will be made available via DLC (downloadable content) in the near future. (Click the image above for a full view.)

I have a Xbox One, but I'm so tempted to get a Wii U... maybe I'll wait for Smash Bros to come out too. So I'll have two flawless games to play. And Nintendo better announce a Star Fox tomorrow, so it could up the entity.

I won't get my hopes up but it looks very well made and a bit too good to be faked I can't find those head shapes easily on google images. They even made the box bigger.
I want the rumors to be true just for Birdo Plessie would be a mess though. Do they know how big he is? He would not fit in a cart It's a much better idea to have a new course where at some point you ride on top of him through a water part or something.
