Surprising hit singles:
- 1234 By Feist... this one is VERY surprising. Feist and her banjo did a good toll on the charts based on their iPod Nano commercial song-ness. . . I saw this video about in early to mid July on IMF.. it was featured as the 'Clip of Fear'. Those are good to follow because a lot of the time they end up being big, ie Young Folks.
- Hero/Heroine by Boys Like girls... The other day I heard it on z100... I thought I was hallucinating. I know, it's not a hit yet.. but I'm surprised it got on z100. I remember, I used to listen to that last year. Actually, when I joined, I had a little countdown in my signature.. it was #1. I was also pretty much the first person to catch onto the great Escape on this forum.. correct me if I'm wrong.. but Hero/Heroine is much better.
- SOS by the Jonas Brothers ... They're a Disney band. Not such a bad song.. but they're a DISNEY band. A DISNEY BOY BAND. I'm surprised they're doing so damned well.
- Misery Business by Paramore ... I wouldn't have expected this to be much a hit, but #1 on Z100's 9@9.. that's spectacular. It's a good song but as I recently realized it isn't even one of the good ones on the album. It does have pop appeal, though.
