i disagree with this article i think RIhanna is EXACTLY what makes the songs special. she has a unique voice and style. she doesnt hide behind anything.
Read this earlier on a blog site, Any way, I agree with his statements about Ms. Fenty. Rihanna feels like something else: a one hit-wonder several dozen times over.
That line alone pretty sums her up, Rihanna in my opinion is the epitome of a manufactured "artist" carefully created by the labels and a A-list team to be molded and sold to the public. She has no desire to improve as an artist or performer and has zero defining moments other than "the incident" -- she'll only be remembered for 'Umbrella' and "the incident"
She's remembered for many more songs than Umbrella. The incident isn't what she's remembered for anymore. She has worked hard enough & seen enough success for it to be less of a prominence in how people remember her.

Do you know anything about Latin music? It's more than just using Spanish instruments and speaking Spanish. It's about chord structure/usage, tempo, and beat. Let's not put our ignorant American cap on.
