i just spent 30 minutes looking for my usb cable for my ipod to sync some music then i realized i didnt need it.

From iTunes Help:

If you’re on a Wi-Fi network, and have iOS 5 installed on your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad, you can sync your device without connecting it to your computer.

You can sync your device automatically or manually over Wi-Fi. You choose your settings for Wi-Fi syncing the same way you do for syncing over a cable.

To turn on Wi-Fi syncing, your device needs to be connected to your computer. Once Wi-Fi syncing is turned on, you can sync your device whenever it’s on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

To turn on Wi-Fi syncing:

To sync your device over Wi-Fi:

If you chose manual syncing, drag items from your iTunes library to your device.

Syncing over wi-fi is one of my favorite features, I think. Question, though: Do your iThing and computer have to be connected to the same internet source to be able to sync wirelessly? Or could I theoretically sync my iPod from McDonald's while my computer is at home?

So I gave in and downloaded it on my ipod touch.
After 5 hours of problems / glitches and ****, I'm not really noticing anything different / improvements.
But I'll play around with it for a bit, maybe I'll change my mind.

I don't even get what I need for iMessanger. At least with BBM you just add someone's pin and that's that. Do you need the other person's email / phone number?

Though I noticed it let you use it while it was syncing, which is something I do like.

On phones, it's an automatic detection and fully integrated with SMS. No need for archaic PIN systems left over from the 1990s.
