But that's not something that reflects as dishonesty or foulness on Bey's part.
I believe that MTV probably selected her as the winner and likely distribute most of their major awards in this manner; their awarding Bey's video (which was indeed the best video) doesn't make her win illegitimate. Considering how seriously she takes her visual presentation and how much she puts into the very thing this show is based on awarding, any win she gets as a video artist goes well beyond "just riding her own hype." As far as her attendance, she's proven herself loyal to the show regardless of the situation with her awards and has given them performances literally every single time she's released an album. None of her history with other award shows indicate this either -- she turned right back around and presented at this year's Grammy's after major losses the previous year where she performed while losing both AOTY and her genre category. There's nothing there supporting Kanye's claim of her being some entitled brat that won't participate unless she's getting her way.

Thank You. But we know this is what ATRL was waiting for. So let them have some fun

I still think Work From Home deserved VOTY even if it didn't get nominated.

He is massively narcissistic and wants the respected top dog position Jay has and wants badly to emulate Jay and Bey's power couple status with Kim. Like, even the engagement ring he got Kim looks a lot like what Jay got for Bey (and from the same jeweler, no less).

I am happy for Bey, just wanted to point out that it doesn't say "BEST VIDEO OF THE YEAR"
It says "VIDEO OF THE YEAR" as in best + biggest, as in THE video of the year, which by default excludes a video that was barely seen, in comparison to monsters like Hello and Hotline Bling.

How was this called for? What does she have to do with all of this mess between KANYE and BEYONCE. I do get the fact some educational systems are flawed but basic reading is something you must've learned.

as big of a fan as I am, there's a lot that we don't know about Beyonce
we only see of her what she want us to see and that's because there is something
(or some things) about her that, if revealed, would threaten her brand
at the end of the day, what she does is all about money and making more of it
you don't get the kind of success she has without getting a little dirty and you certainly don't get it by living an honest life
just being realistic
so if what Kanye is saying is true, I wouldn't be the least bit shocked considering televised broadcasts like these are all about money and attention (two things Beyonce always seems to know how to get) at their very core

Another thing, Ye is being extremely hypocritical griping about playing foul politics and abusing power when he refused to show up at the VMAs for YEARS and didn't return until they gave him the Vanguard. Then on top of that, they had to bait his attendance again this year with an AOTY nod out of no fckn where for a terrible video and a platform to premiere his new video the same way they offered Taylor the year prior. The way he throws tantrums and refuses to attend award shows when he's not winning the way he sees fit and magically only shows when he does get his way, ch...stop projecting your own foolishness. It's not cute.

No, I get what "Saint Luv" is saying. Asking that isn't a slight against Rih, it's taking what Kaye said to its logical, inevitable conclusion. Why would the "rigging" only be done for Beyoncé and Beyoncé only? This ish, right here is why I turn into a Swiftie whenever Kanye is involved, even after the expose. I'm legit thinking of buying her next album if the first day sales estimates have it coming in under a mil in first week pure sales. Kanye is always coming for women's achievements. We just thought he would never try it with Bey.
