Kavish Glad to see I was his top score, but woah he's going to be a tough critic this season! Can't wait.
Sorta disappointed I didn't start off as strong as I wished, but I'm confident that I'll do better in the following rounds.

Well, igor... I respect your opinion, obviously but it isn't that hard to be a better song than We Are One. Besides, 'Dare' good response was due to 'Waka Waka' mostly because it was way less directed to the GP. It was to electronic but the song was great obviously. But the fact that it was too dancy, too electronic kinda made me don't even consider it. 'Empire' has a little bit of everything. 8 is fine though!

You put more emphasis on the song's adoration by people and its genre instead of why the song is universally appealing. It's remarkable that she is on her tenth album. It's time for you to show us why we should not remember to forget her.
|
We disagree on what makes a song universally likable... Well, we don't but you're a bit more tough. I did say a lot about people loving it but you did also see I said it didn't slay the charts for being too unique and that's what made it special. The fact that she says it's metaphysical kinda goes to the fact that it may be for everyone. I loved your judging though.

And the judges and players who say that Salute immediately crosses out a whole gender, this round was to pick a song that represents THE ALBUM. Salute(the album) is literally full of songs (like 99% of Salute) like this that put the woman in charge. I really don't know what else y'all wanted. I think my essay said everything.
And 19th at Public Votes, how did that even happen.
WELP!!!!
|
No, the first round this season wasn't about a song that represents the album. It was about choosing a song that is universally appealing. I'm glad you are staying because you seemed really enthusiastic to be a part of this game, and it really pained me to give you a low score, but I had to be fair. Salute is a very powerful sounding and catchy song though, and I've kept replaying it since the entries were posted. So thank you, and nail your entry next time so that you don't go home. Anything can happen.

Aw, thank you. I don't think you can score a 0 from me though. You're such a great contestant. Keep doing what you do.

Congrats! Besides Salute, Nobody But You has been stuck in my head as well. Such a well produced song. I really love it and I'm eager to hear the rest of her album. Great job, Penk.

Choose The Album, Then a Song 7: Round Two
Welcome to the seventh season of ATRL original game
Choose The Album, Then a Song
Season 7 is officially on track!
I know you're probably still recovering... Thinking: "Oh My God! Yas (Gaga)! I made it!" or maybe you're sad to see your mates going: "Nooo! I should've been eliminated instead of him" (yeah, right). BUT we need to keep going and I am already here to give you the SECOND round. Remember this just started so you need to SLAY the second round.
As for the participation banner, there'll be one, yes! Not now but soon (soon meaning next update)!
I know not everyone is familiar with this tournament so, for the newbies, here it goes a little explanation!
Quote:
Choose The Album, Then A Song is a wide game. As the title says, all you have to do is pick an album and make sure you know it quite well because, round after round, you're going to pick a song from your album that best fits into the challenge... That's right, each week you're going to have a themed-round and you'll have to, not only, pick a song from your album but you're going to have to talk about it. You should pay attention to the writting part, especially if your album isn't that known.

T H E R U L E S
For six seasons this game had its ups and downs and to make sure the 'downs' part won't happen again, I had to create a set of rules. So if you're signing up, this means you agree to:
1. DURING THE VOTING PERIOD, YOU'LL HAVE TO CAST YOUR VOTE (OTHERWISE YOU'RE PENALIZED);
2. YOU CAN NOT ASK FANS/FRIENDS TO SAVE YOUR ALBUM;
3. YOU MUST DELIVER YOUR ENTRY IN TIME, OTHERWISE YOU'RE ELIMINATED.[/SIZE]
4. YOU CAN NOT USE THE SAME SONG MORE THAN TWICE;
5. IF YOU USE A SONG IN A ROUND, YOU'LL ONLY BE ABLE TO USE IT AGAIN THREE ROUNDS AFTER.

A song instantly came to mind but I think that's way too personal and I don't think I'm ready to open up about that just yet!

The BANKS round
Last round, I asked you to present the most universally likeable song - and this round, we are going to go to the opposite end of the spectrum: it's all about YOU. Inspired by BANKS's song about a relationship that no one on the outside understands, I want you to send the one song that YOU are closest to and really connect with. Make sure you explain how you relate to it, why it means so much to you and what makes it special. I want to see how this album has made an impact on your life! Due to how personal this round is, it is highly subjective so your explanation is extremely important. Do it in no more than 200 words. Good luck!

And is the 200 word like really strict, what if we do like 210, is that okay?

NOT DANITY KANE BEING THE FIRST ELIMINATED WITH THE LOWEST AMOUNT OF POINTS AGAIN - THE SNUB IS REAL! "All In a Day's Work" was actually one of the most plausible choices from the album, and "Salute" was great too. The girl group snub is reaallllll.
But thank you so much to everyone who voted for "2 On" to be saved and to the judges for great scores! Kavish - I am IN LOVE with your rates; they're AMAZING and so well-written! I'm definitely excited for this round.
