Father John Misty's album is pretty great, he's pretty hilarious He's like California soft rock with a snarky edge. I love it. Check the Hotel Lobby song I've been charting. It's well written but pretty funny at the same time.

Carly is going to deliver one of the best pop albums of the year at this point. She's 2/2 of the songs I have heard.

It's a pretty good album. I never really got into his first, but I like this one. It has a good flow and pretty solid lyrics. I'm not crazy about one song, it's a little too synthy for me, but overall, a solid solid album. Great packaging too if you're into that.

To be honest, I didn't like I Bet at first, it was a little boring and slow and didn't seem to have much going on in the song but it grew on me a lot.

I have no idea why but I love everything about FFS. Something about it is so unpolished sounding (in a good way of course). It's my most played song in iTunes by far for some reason.

Amethyst is kind of a weird mixtape. I really like it, but it's kind of too downcast or murky or something where it's not an replayable as Aquarius.

Chart Notes: Truth be told, I didn't listen to much music this week. It was mostly devoted to rates and such and I think that shows. I've been busy. Whenever I'm busy, I tend to focus on singles and this week my singles chart was strangely competitive. Poor Brandon Flowers, he would have had a 16 debut on the singles chart, maybe next week

I am going to be pretty busy this week, I am leaving tomorrow to visit my best friend for the weekend and I have a paper due in addition to several other projects that I have to work on throughout the week, so if this update didn't come today, right now, it probably would not have come. So, this update is a little off, you may notice that I ripped the new redesign of my request countdown, well it was either that or no update for the week. Maybe I will change back for the next, who knows.

So, I also decided to bump up my chart to 15, there have been plenty of songs that have just missed charting and I wanted my chart to be a little less volatile so I took on iHype's suggestion of adding the amount of songs, so thanks for that suggestion iHype, I will probably make this change permanent since this change rounds out my chart to 20 songs total. I've been working on a rate which is why Janelle and V V Brown are charting and Ariana leads the singles chart for another week with a whopping 26 plays for the week (a lot for me). She may be dethroned in the next, we'll see.

On the albums chart, Sufjan Stevens leads with a modest 39 plays. That number is way too low, he got more plays but there was some kind of iTunes and Scrobbling error where a couple plays didn't count. Expect him to stick around for awhile though.

The most notable debut of the week belongs to Raury, who's Lost Souls charts here, somewhat due to the fact that his song is immediately after Ariana's on the Mockingjay Soundtrack and partially due to the fact that I am just getting into him. I downloaded the EP he put out so expect to see more of him here. There's actually a cool story about how I first learned about him, but I'm not going to get into that here and now. Be on the look for him, he's cool. Also, had he not charted this week, the 6 month anniversary of the Mockingjay Soundtrack, all soundtrack songs would have gone recurrent and only eligible for the recurrent chart so he charted literally just in time (this was not a conscious decision).
