I think that's a bit debatable because GGGB sold almost as much in the UK as the US and the US has 5 times our population. Plus Umbrella was a bigger hit over here. But she has been getting stuck at #2 in the UK recently and going all the way to the top in the US.

I think they both have a good chance, but they need to release material! I hope Beyonce can score tow number 1s form her next album. All of her singles during the last era sold like #1s, but her label gave them poor releases so they charted lower. IIWAB almost missed out on the top spot too, she was extremely lucky that the release of Run by Leona Lewis was delayed by two weeks. Nevertheless it IASF cemented her status here, she was very consistent.

They were also two of the lowest selling #1s last year. Pathetic sales, hence all her other singles missing out on the top ten once her album was released. Her sales are very front-loaded, but I guess that's to be expected when she begged people to download her song in order to get to #1. You don't get much more desperate than that.
