It's a mix of superficial reasons and health issues. I've temporarily reversed my pre-diabetes which I'm thrilled about
I never really looked like the people you see on The Biggest Loser, because I'm about 6'1 so it balanced out.
But my clothes were getting too expensive and every time I changed my profile picture on FB it was like trying to look for the less offensive photo, not one I was
actually happy with, you know?
Also, I went away to NYC for college and it was like for the first time I actually saw happy, healthy, gay/bi living their life to the fullest. All of my friends were gym-heads and slightly anorexic (I don't use
), so I just started joining them. They're jealous of my progress, but they're all ****ing stick figures anyway
As for what I do, I usually just work that elliptical like it's going out of style, along with crunches and chest press to give me a slimmer profile. It's done wonders for me
