Following the previous week’s dragon-unleashing stunner, HBO’s Game of Thrones climbed in the ratings Sunday night for the fifth episode of the season.
Thrones delivered 5.3 million viewers for its first airing at 9 p.m. That’s up 8 percent from the previous week, which was also a record high, and had built on a previous record high this season. The show was watched by 6.7 million across two plays. So far, Thrones is averaging 13.4 million viewers for season 3 once all airings and DVR playback is accounted for — almost 2 million more than the season 2 average.
Trying to get into this show, where can I watch full episodes online?
I will provide no links ( I have none and is against the rules as specified) you can however visit 1.channel.ch and click tv shows at the top, and search for GOT in which they may or may not have links to every episode season 1 - 3 in which case streaming them in your country may or may not be legal but is legal in the United States.
They may or may not have what you are looking for and you did not read this post from Androgyne.
Since I got spoiled anyway will it happen soon or near the finale? Because my heart can't take if that happens near the end and supposed to be one of the biggest twists

Sorry but it will take place this season, the creators already confirmed it. It will be in either the penultimate or last episode.
BTW, this girls just uploaded the EPIC HISTORY part 2 of the Lannister family which includes Tywin's children and grandchildren (Jamie, Cersei, Tyrion, Joffrey, Tommen, Myrcella)! I love these videos, she makes them fun and really covers everything up from their past. Cersei is really ****ed up.
I'm glad I am not the only one that really likes Jamie
Here is part 1 in case you missed it:
AND also, in case you missed it, here's the epic history of house Targaryen!
Thanks for the videos @Dancefloor. Yeah Cersei is really ****ed up, she is just a bad person through and through. I really wonder how the writer will write The Stark's end, they deserve better.
Jamie should have told Ned Stark how it happened, I know he would have understood.
Season 1 premiered with 2.22 million viewers and the finale was watched by 3.04 which was only a 37% growth and not even 1 more million viewers.
Season 2 was even worse! It premiered 3.86 mv, a 74% growth from S1's premiere, BUT the finale was only watched by 4.20 mv, a 9% growth! Less than 500k people!
It made me really wonder because of season 3's ratings and I wanted to compare it. Season 3 premiered with 4.37 mv, a 13% growth from S2's premiere, BUT last episode (episode 5) was watched by 5.35 MILLION viewers, which is 23% growth BUT the difference is almost 1 million viewers, which has never happened in a WHOLE season and we're only halfway through. Unless things go completely ****ing wrong, this is going to be the most succesful season in terms of growth by the end of it.
I don't think it'll ever reach Soprano heights but do you think its ratings are going to peak next season or likely to grow constantly like right now?
Well, I know it wasn't your question, but I never thought it'd reach True Blood ratings, mainly because TB is more mainstream and with all the hype around vampires, but it has reached TB ratings. The hightest viewers from TB are 5.44 in episode #10 of season 3 (GoT's higher ratings are episode 5 this season with 5.35 mv). Now, TB ratings reached those heights faster. By the end of season 2, they were on the 5 million mark, which was reasonable because season 2 was ****ing brilliant, imo, and everyone was talking about it. GoT was barely making it during season 1 and 2, with just steady, low-paced growth. However, TB's season 3 and on have really decline in quality and it has sort of stalled there in the 5 million mark. In season 5, the only two episodes that went above 5 million viewers were the premiere and the season finale (barely). Honestly, I've read books 1, 2 & 3 of GoT and let me tell you, this part 1 of book 3 is just the beginning, part 2 is even more "WTF just happened", so I guess ratings will continue to rise a lot. Season 3 has been huge, I wouldn't be surprised if it reached more than 6 mv before the finale. Now, especially with what the creators have said about this season's finale, it is going to be a HUGE cliffhanger wich will only make season 4 shatter more records. I don't think it will reach Soprano heights as you said, but hey maybe it will, who knows.
IMO, I think the writers need to keep going with this formula. Season 2 was so fast-paced, they tried to put everything in one 10-episode season, they changed a lot of things from the storyline, and it was a bummer for a lot of fans, especially after a flawless season 1. What I've noticed is fans are liking this season a lot better than the last one, everything seems to be going more fluently, more calmed, they cover a lot of things per episode, and they add a few extra scenes here and there without changing a lot from the books. If they continue to do this, I don't see why it should go down.
lol Game of Thrones is no less "mainstream" than True Blood. GoT had a much larger fanbase beforehand, while the source material of True Blood was rather unknown and not really commercially received. So, when the first season of GoT started, it was made sure from producers and executives of the show and HBO that a whole franchise would be built during the debut season. Games, action figures, soundtracks,...I think you know what I mean. The show itself is typical HBO in gore, sex and explicit language, but so is True Blood. I could already tell from the beginning that ratings would increase season-to-season, even though I also expected it to debut bigger than it did, seeing the anticipation it created when production was announced in late 2009/early 2010.
Anyway, I'm surprised to see ratings going over 5 mio. already so early in the season. At this rate, I can even see it scratch the 7 mio. mark at the season finale, but we'll see. @Allstar: I don't think the show will reach The Sopranos ratings, but it's really hard to tell tbh. If the show wins big at this or next year's award season, the show could greatly benefit from that and push it across the 10 mio. mark. The show's peak will happen somewhere between next season and the fifth season.

It is less mainstream and you just said why. The fact that GoT had a fan base and True Blood didn't before they premiered and still TB managed to be a ratings monster since season 1-2 and GoT didn't just makes my point. Most people I tell about GoT are like, oh it sounds boring, it's from medieval times, I don't really like fiction, it's hard to get them to watch it. With TB you just had to say, hot vampires, boobs and ass and people were watching. It's for different audiences (one fore more serious, smart people, the other for horny girls and gays).
Oh and I agree, some ****ing awards (especially Emmys), which GoT totally deserves, need to be given to the series! It would help so much...
