I agree. And I am black myself(well, I am 1/4 white but I consider myself black). Prayers are not enough to deal with mental illness.

This news really broke my heart. I remember the first time I saw her on Xfactor I knew that she was born to be a star. I instantly fell in love. I went and followed her on Twitter, Facebook, and IG. I went and and subscribed to her YouTube channel. Simone was such a beautiful person, but I noticed a changed in her the last few months. On her pictures she had the biggest smile, but recently something seemed off to me. Her smile seemed forced and I could see sadness in her eyes.... What bothers me is that if I could see that something was wrong then I know her family, friends, band members could see it... I wished she would have talked to someone and got help. So sad...Smh.

This comment was 100% truth. Not only white people suffer from depression and not only white people choose to end their lives. This kind of thinking is so idiotic, because anyone can take their lives at any point and time and can suffer from things beyond their control. Don't be delusional

Yes! I miss those days. We really thought she would have a long, prosperous career. I can't believe she's gone. I should have followed her journey with G.R.L. more closely. I feel like she did much better as a solo artist, though. She could have done so much. This isn't fair.

VERY true. It's definitely breaking the stigma but unfortunately it's too late for Simone at least. Let's hope that her suicide is NOT in vain and it will be used as a catalyst to spread awareness.

The YouTube videos u used to posted made me realize how talented she was. She had that ''it factor'' and ambition artists need to make it in this industry. Sad how no one will ever see her full potential.
