As I was listening to the song I felt like there was this massive buildup to an anthemic chorus, but nothing ever happened. It seems like it should stay an album track but I guess Bey feels like taking a risk.

The breakdown it's missing something. The part where the African woman comes is sounds so great in the LIVE version, they should of kept that momentum and excitement in the audio.

I've only heard it once so I'll leave any deep judgement for now although I usually love Beyonce's music so we'll see..
One thing I will say though is what happened to her voice? It sounds a lot deeper and raspier than before.
