Why does everyone classify Loud as a 'dance' album?
"S&M" + "Only Girl" + "Complicated". They're the only dance-oriented tracks on the album.

So, 3/11. Less than a third. The album can't really be categorised as anything, because it is such a mishmash of genres. Def Jam really wanted to ensure that Rihanna could have hits in any field with Loud, hence the extreme diversity.

Complicated is not dance oriented at all Cheers and Raining Men are more dancy than Complicated.

There was no urban hit on Loud. Raining Man is the worst track on Loud and a blemish on her discography.

Yeah Man Down hit number 8 on Urban radio. It was also not far from reaching top 50 on pop but CKB didn't let it.

It's one of those songs you can kinda move to, but you can't really dance to it.
Dance-ballads aren't common, and that's what makes it so unique in Rihanna's discography. It's become rather infamous amongst the fandom for it's vocals, but it was something new for Rihanna at the time (musically).

Complicated was a grower for me, now it is one of my fave Loud tracks. Actually she hits some tones in it she doesn't hit in any of her other songs, so I respect the song very much.
