TT, do we have to write about our sins in a positive (active) way, or can we write about conquering the sin?
I think the former would be more fitting, but if the latter was executed exceptionally well and still had enough elements of the sin in it, I wouldn't deduct points or criticize it for misinterpreting the task. Just remember that the round is supposed to be a little dark, so, if a song about conquering the sin turns out to be extremely light and happy, it won't really represent the essence of a deadly sin

Thank you. I think I have a concept, but now I'm worried it won't be perfect for this challenge. I'll try writing the song first and see from there.

I wasn't saying it needs to be positive. I just think if you're writing about changing or whatever, you aren't really under the influence of the sin. People under the influence of a deadly sin, to my understanding are not aware, or are so consumed by it, that they don't change. Especially for something such as pride, it wouldn't logically make sense to write about that to me, because it defeats the whole idea of the pride sin, where you believe you are above everything, and you wouldn't think you need to change so breaking away doesn't feel particularly fitting to me but that's only me.
So it's time to start my special project I'm going to try and compose/arrange/and essentially put together a full song for each of my entries in the competition + some bonus songs. Hopefully I'll be done by summer's end!

I wasn't meaning positive as in happy, I was meaning positive as in current or active (consisting in or characterized by the presence rather than the absence of distinguishing features). But you had a really good point, so I figured I'd bring it up and ask. But I disagree that people can't be made aware that they're under the influence of a sin and try to repent it. Perhaps I'm not explaining myself right. I just don't want to go down the obvious, "You're blinded by your pride, you're pushing everyone away" route...

This is something I've been wanting to do but I doubt it will happen.
