I think 'Greetings Himeros' makes more sense than 'Greetings from Eros' considering it changes the voice of the speaker, Himeros means it is still her speaking, speaking TO Himeros, from Eros means she is taking on the persona of a male God. Himeros is more about lust and desire, Eros is sometimes said to be the son of Aphrodite but he is also sometimes said to be primordial (no parents, created from nothing) while Himeros is definitely the son of Aphrodite.

Who knows with Gaga though, it could easily be either.

I just feel awkward now that I hear "Himeros" because she's defining someone she's speaking to, and now it makes me a little uncomfortable.

Well, in my mind, she's introducing Himeros to a crowd of people and has him lie down on a table or something while she puts headphones on him and starts G.U.Y., and the crowd watches the audiovisual experience on a huge screen on the wall.


LORD, that sounded a lot less weird in my head.
