Tomorrow could be a fun day! I hope WCS gets a nod for something. It'd be stupid if she didn't, even if they didn't like the video it's easily made more impact than every other video this year.

This is on and off topic, when the WCS video hits 100 million does that mean platinum.. because Selena and Demi's singles sold about 1.6 million each, but the RIAA just certified them 2x platinum.. I don't know if they have 100 million on their videos because i don't check them

The RIAA rule is 100 streams = 1 download. So... I think Heart Attack has like 90 million views which would be equal to 900,000 sales + the 1.6 million it's sold = 2.5 million = 2x platinum.

So Miley's already hit platinum in sales alone but once WCS hits 100 million views or whatever then it'll be 2x platinum, etc.

That's what you get when you release a unique video. I think Miley used good judgement in making this video outrageous + totally polarizing. Reminds me of Last Friday Night.

At first I was scared for the success of the single upon the first listen of the song and seeing it drop on BB big, I was so sure that it would flop, but then the video gets released and bam. The song truly is a grower and more and more people are buying it each week and it's doing so without any promo. Miley was smart for releasing this single/video instead of a smash ready single by a generic producer, she knew what would do her well in the long run.
