Well, while they were proper singles, I don't know I would say the label promoted them well. In fact Honey only has one TV performance during its release and that was in the UK on Top of The Pops I guess we're really lucky it debuted at #1 on the hot 100. I'd give the controversy of the split and the video more credit for promotion.
My All had more performances but some were before it was even a single The only one I can recall thats from after(and around) the time of the release are the World Music Awards 1998 (where she also sang Honey).

If you look through the progression of her career, the amount of tv performances dwindles a lot... Especially around the middle of the Daydream era (when there was trouble in paradise, Mariah did say that even though it was one of her most successful times, it was when she was most miserable.) I mean it's pretty sad that Always Be My Baby, one of her signature hits, has no tv performances from the time it slain the charts.

The Sony Music branch of Japan ordered him in and rumour is...yelled at him for what was going on with her in America and worldwide...

Keep in mind that Glitter flew off the shelves in Japan and Asia... selling almost 500,000 copies in Japan alone and becomng the biggest legally selling album by an international artist in China in 2001.

+she was with Virgin at the time, but Sony Music Japan distributed the album in Japan (and probably entire Asia). (Afterall, the movie itself was a Sony Pictures release which is the door that let Tommy in and steal her ideas for Jennifer Lopez).

Tommy sabotaged her many times over.. not just Glitter.

Keep in mind that Butterfly on had 2 singles in the USA, which were released 1 year apart of each other: Honey in 1997 and My All in 1998.

The Title Track did not receive a physical release, which at the time prevented the airplay hit to chart on the H100.

In 1999 Rainbow was sabotaged too. Mariah was angry that the album wasn't properly promoted in Japan and internationally. 2 years later the same happened to Invincible, hence Michael's outbursts.

Tommy really shove J.Lo down our spines, neglecting all the other megastars on his panel: Springsteen, Carey (who has 2 10m sellers and an 8m seller respectively during the sabotage years) and Michael Jackson (co-owner of the entire sony music cataloge).

It's really sad that all of this has happened to Mariah. SONY banked it idk $3bn with her brand and when she divorced the CEO, he threw multiple fits which led to her leaving the label.

We have to remember, that Tommy wasn't the only person in power at Sony. The label did consist of many people in the higher ranks, which is why Mariah wasn't completely destroyed at the time.

Tommy left the label in 2003 in order to build up his own label: Casablanca Records.. which has become a flop.

Loverboy did pretty well overseas in some countries, she should do it in UK or Italy, one can only dream
She has such a vast discography that I wish she would leave 1 song on the setlist to change every night.

I've just checked, Mariah has 50 singles which charted in the UK (T75). Too many to choose from.

BTW Madonna has had 67 singles in the T75.. and people claim Mariah is not big in Britannia.

I love that song. I actually like much of that album as individual tracks(except track 2). I just can't listen to it all the way through.
