I swear you all know **** about established structures when it comes to produce a record.
And I already said this yesterday getting a silent response from the poster trying me.
Where did I say YB was horrid because of being "generic"? I don't even like to call songs generic. The production is poorly executed and it's basic as hell, no use of imagination. There's nothing special about it. The vocals doesn't match the cheap instrumental and they are as well nothing special. Xtina belting the chorus? Oh, how innovative. I don't find it fresh, cause it is not in the first place. It's just trash. Max and X did wrong there. They can do way better than that. That's why they delivered with LTBL. It follows the established structures way better. The vocals are on point for a dance-driven production. You can tell the instrumental is perfectly executed. I never said it's innovative. It just serves its purpose better. So, SIT YOUR ASS DOWN and listen to Shut Up's snippet. I dedicate it to you.

It's the fact that you're calling YB "basic", which clearly implies you're referring to the dancey, universally accessible nature of the song, while praising LTBL in the same breath even though it goes in exactly the same direction as YB.
I don't care if you know **** about the production of a song or not. Max Martin knows how to make a hit and all the success that he enjoyed over the last decade is enough proof to that. He's the #1 producer in the world. You can gladly say that Tricky Stewart's or Polow Da Don's productions were trash, because everybody with working ears can hear that. Their productions are the only bad thing about amazing songs like Desnudate or I Hate Boys. They're the main reason many people are calling Bionic "dated". YB, in its very unique approach at creating an edgy, yet vocally strong radio hit is ANYTHING but dated...or basic for that matter. It's quite the contrary. I am proud of every song that Legend has done in her career and I think YB is a really great song. There is a reason she chose it as the lead single for her great comeback after all that happened in 2010. You clearly don't like the song and that's fine, but the reasons you give are not really convincing me to agree in any way with you, especially if you think LTBL will be so much better and different from what YB is.
And you can drop that unfunny gif the next time, because it makes you look even more arrogant than you already are.
