Christmas Albums open weak initially when the yuletide seasons come in that is the time when sales skyrocket. We are not yet in the Halloween season so they should better release something related to that to boost some sales. So the spotlight is for both coldplay and kelly if jinx happens maybe adele can block them.

i thought he only did like 100k usually and he has had no promo or anything.

why are you so pessimistic? adele did pretty well for the last 7 months selling above 90k. casual listeners are leaning towards talented and classy music lately but lets just keep our hopes up with the sales she's going to garner that time.

Kelly clarkson's breakaway was as successful as adele's 21 now is achieving, what can you say??

I am talking about opening numbers. I think she will have stability, but I would hope we can keep the average opening numbers... It is not pessimistic it is rational thinking. I really am hoping for 220k

She's got some good promo coming up; she'll be fine. Since we're talking about promo I wonder if that E! Special is still happening? It would be cool if they aired that around the album release. I know Scotty had something like that the day before his album come out on one of the country music channels.
