I know. It seems like the hype and success flew out the gate like a bat out of hell but now it's just kind of waning.

The song is selling but the video just isn't catching on.
To be fair, the video is a step above basic although Jessie J looks the best.
Ariana looks hm...the nice way to say it very lolita ish and is just kind of there.
Nicki looks great but overall it seems like force chemistry versus real chemistry.

Videos don't get certified that quickly. It's really not easy at all for a video to get certified less than a month after coming out. Even videos like BW and Break Free still aren't certified. It's not an easy task.

Rapping is a form of talking, you can look up the definition if you want to, but that's what it is. Rhythmic talking. Um no, that's not the reason. Rapping can be just as catchy as singing (even catchier since we're talking about Nicki!). These no-rap edits exist for adult radio stations that don't play "young" genres like Dance, (uptempo) Rock and Rap. The majority of the people who have downloaded the song still listen to the rap version and it's by far the most popular version. It's also the version Pop radio (and Rhythmic) always play.
