I'm sick of this argument, it's like people want to rant for the sake of ranting with no research, Adele always said her primary influences were Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. I do believe her race helped her somehow shape her career but not to the extent these people are trying to prove. She too was irrelevent with her debut, she also worked hard to be where she is right now. If there is anyone to blame, blame the labels, radio stations, the consumers for not giving the opportunity for these artists to "go out" What is there to win from pointing the finger at her?
