If I was Adele, I would limit my producers of choice to five people and schedule meetings with them while Angelo is at school. I would focus on the positive aspects that life has brought my way since 2010/2011 and preferably have something ready, in written form, before I'd call anyone. It would be much easier to start with a plan than to just hit it off with different people to see if something comes out of it.

This. Hopefully the success of 25 will make her more determined to pick the most suitable producers for whatever concept she'll pick for her next effort rather than go with different people and wait for some random results.
I think there was an interview when speaking about the making of AIA when she said she wanted to make an upbeat sound with Bruno's gang then ended up writing a ballad. I felt a bit disappointed since they went with the safest route rather than trying to "experiment" with her sound. There is the other issue of her finding confidence in doing solely ballads in which she already hinted on an interview about how she doesn't have it in her to reinvent...
In a perfect world, i imagine an album fully written/produced by her and Epworth.
Her next album will be something really exiting to witness. What will be her approach?? Which type of audience will she cater to?? People who only want her to make ballads or make something different and take the risk of losing that target??

First of all, I'm positive that the whole "taking 10 years off from touring" thing is fake. My mom emailed me about it and when I told her it was BS, she brought up a good point—there's no way Adele would've planned that far in advance. Plus, as others have brought up, there are ways that she could make it work. Honestly, she could tour Europe in one summer and then the US the following summer. She leaves enough space in between albums where she could probably do that.
As for the next album, I agree. I loved the pop music she did on this album, but if she did less on the next, I'd be fine. I don't think the album is necessarily inconsistent, but some of the sounds she experiments with on the album stick out like a sore thumb. As Daydreams brought up, the next album should have the organic feel that 21 had. (Not that 25 isn't, but it's definitely less organic than 21.) Don't get me wrong—I wouldn't change any of the songs on 25 because I love them all. But I think we would all agree that her soul/alternative sound is better than her pop sound. And I'm fine if she sticks with songs about missing her youth and her child and even heartbreak and pain, because I feel like that doesn't have to relate to love and breakups, necessarily. If she just sticks to her classic sound, I think she'll be fine, in all honesty. She needs to do most of the next album with Paul and Tobias, though. I'd be fine with an album full of songs like "When We Were Young" and "Rolling in the Deep." Big songs like that fit her music/writing style and her voice best.
Also, a new video surfaced on some fan Instagram page today. Apparently she did "When We Were Young" live at Skavlan and they didn't air it with the "Hello" performance. Part of it can be watched here, and then another part is featured in this video. Waiting for them to upload the whole thing. I wonder why this video didn't surface until now. I wonder if any of the other live performances she did had stuff that didn't get aired....

yeah she did WWWY on Skavlan, they aired it in Sweden later as a new year's special, with a kind-of best of from all shows in 2015, and finished with her p/f of WWWY, it was great better than Hello (as often the case) and it made WWWY go #1 on itunes here and stay in the top for long.
it's funny cuz it feels like WWWY actually outlasted Hello here, the new Idol season just started and soo many are doing WWWY and one of the new judges keeps saying how it's her fav song!
it's been big here from the start tbh, all journalists always points it out as her finest moment on 25 and on tour too. they compare it to Elton John's "Tiny dancer"

An Amy cover would be nice but I despise Mitch Winehouse. Like, he's been cashing all the way in on Amy's death and looks like he will never stop. I hope Adele stays the hell away from him!

Yeah she'll probably stay away from that, like she did with that christmas song, and taking her songs out of the Glasto album for charity.

Imagine if she covered Love Is A Loosing game like less jazzy with just her and piano & her deep low register I feel like she would never do it tho.
Also if its something Mitch is doing I don't want her to take part in it.

I think Adele's done with covers. She might sing little snippets here and there but she might never record a cover again. Personally, I think that would be very respectful. Not saying that she ever did, but many people these days are trying get famous off other people's music. YouTube comments are full of people begging the readers to watch their covers of hit songs. Literally gag, vomit, booger, I can't.

I can't help but to imagine how some tracks from 25 would sound like with a full string section; I Miss You, River Lea and even Hello would've sounded 10x more epic with an accompanying string arrangement
But it's clear that she made a conscious decision to use electronic sounds and synths over strings (sans LITD) to depart from the 21 sound.
I'm not sure what to expect or wish for her next album. I'm not certain she'll experiment. I've said blues-rock before, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Lyrically, I'd like to see more narrative and subtlety a la HWG (the lyrics are so simple yet so powerful, so much nuance in it).
And I don't mind heartbreak being the main theme of her songs. Sure, happier sounding songs would be lovely, but her strong suit has always been the sadder, melancholy songs, it truly brings something out of her. I'm not personally bothered by the "heartbroken lady" image that she has due to her songs. If the songs are good, it won't matter what the haters say.
But the next album needs to have some sort of lyrical progression from beginning to end.

Ever since Dave Grohl went to see Adele in concert last month (and solidified their respect for each other) I can't help but wishfully think of a collaboration between them ugh I know that sounds funny but they could really cook up something really amazing in the vein of Beyonce x Jack White Don't Hurt Yourself
And if someone can find me the full version of WWWY at Skavlan that would be lovely.
Edit: Nvm I found the WWWY Skavlan performance: https://www.facebook.com/Adelepagina...4563633586515/
Edit 2: woo lord that high note ****ing slayed me Why haven't I've seen this before? One of her better sustained E(flat)5's

Thank you for the info on the "When We Were Young" performance, Blackbeat. That's good to know for the page on Skavlan I have to create for the Wiki! I'm glad Sweden appreciates what is easily one of her best songs ever. Honestly, I see Adele being remembered more for "When We Were Young" than "Send My Love" in the long run. Not only do journalists and critics love it, but most of the people (mostly adults) that I talk to about her mention it as one of their favorites.
Also, am I the only one that LOVED the performance of it that one guy on The Voice in Portugal did? Definitely one of my favorite versions of the song. Even Demi's was just okay (I mean, yeah, her vocals on it were great but it was kind of screamy and still doesn't compare to Adele's).
Thank you for posting that video, OneAndOnly! I've never seen it before, and I don't remember it ever being brought up here. I'm glad it was finally posted, though! It's one of her best performances of the song, I think.
And in regards to the Amy Winehouse thing, I agree. I can't stand Mitch—I totally think he takes advantage of every opportunity he gets to profit from Amy. It's a shame. If Adele were to cover Amy, I would want it to be on her own. If they ever did like, a tribute special or something that Mitch is not involved with, I hope Adele jumps on it. I'd kill to see her cover "Love Is a Losing Game," just her voice and a piano. It would be incredible. I need more than just that tragic little video where she sings "Rehab" karaoke in an Amy Winehouse voice.

I think she can be heartbroken/melancholy without making true breakup songs. It's a logical thing to have negative feelings about your past, a specific event, etc. and explore and release those feelings that through your work (the "introspective" bit), but another to employ a specific subject within sadness that no longer rings true to your life. I think that's more what I was trying to say before.

You're 100% right. I think I may have misunderstood you before. You hit the nail on the head, though!

Woah, I'm just seeing the supposed 10-year tour hiatus rumors online. It's making headlines. I didn't realize it was that big of a deal.

Honestly, I want Adele to have the year-end worldwide best-selling album of 2016. The only global threat is Taylor Swift. Like, I don't want to hate on anyone, like, do you, but TayTay is just constantly hooking up and breaking up with guys. There's something so off-putting about her although I can't put my finger on what it is. I know it's rude, but I don't want her to continue her trend of rising album sales and YouTube views. You can just tell she will milk the hell out of the scandals she's been involved and to continue to pretend to be the victim.
