The Emmys are on September 18th. Does anyone know if the OUTSTANDING VARIETY SPECIAL award giving will be televised?

Lemonade is getting close and Kennedy Center Honors could always snatch as well. midnightdawn said that lesser-known categories are harder to predict

And yeah Grease Live is leading directing by a longshot (70%+ chance)
Let's take a moment and appreciate the fact that Grease Live isn't nominated for Variety Special because otherwise everyone else would be obliterated

And according to this Adele's categories will be announced on September 11th. It won't be on the Sept. 18th telecast. Only Variety Special directing will be on the 18th.

Adele's Emmy is a creative arts one and the ceremony will be held on September 11th and no they are not televised

Hell yeah, i think this is my absolute Adele concert, everything is just ****ing perfect. i LOVE her rendition of My Same here! sings perfectly and plays it herself. yeah acousticDele is prob my fave aswell. so ****ing brilliant

And I don't know why people say Daytime Emmys don't count. Whoopi Goldberg is considered an EGOT winner yet the only type of Emmy she's won is a Daytime one so

I do hope they discontinue that Musical Performance in a Talk Show/Morning Program category because random artist will have Emmys all of a sudden.

Unless it's for Adele, of course

A Daytime Emmy has always been questionable. Even Whoopi's Daytime Emmy has been questioned sometimes.

And I wonder if Adele's American Tour may have had an impact on voters. The reviews have been beyond great.

Aside from mostly positive reviews, she's had many viral moments and made plenty of headlines off of the US tour, so hopefully.
