It's the combo of Iggy featuring and it sounding like an Iggy song that gives her some credit. Booty had Iggy but didn't have that modern sound, it didn't do very well. L.A. Love was the exact opposite though, and now Britney has both to her advantage.
Listening to it again and I love it until Iggy's part, I don't dislike Iggy and I enjoy a few of her songs but her part just really ruins it for me, it just ruins the flow of the song for me.
