It's sad but she got clearly snubbed with airplay. If she would have gotten more airplay, it would have translated into sales. Some people say that sales translate into airplay, which is true too. But airplay also translates into sales in a way. People hear a song on the radio and they want to hear it again because it is catch, so they buy it. The other way is that when a song is high in the iTunes and people know it, they will request it and stations might start playing it (Capital did this in YL case). Hopefully her next single will get better airplay...

I know she is for sure. But I hope her team finally realise that she needs two weeks of promo, not just one. Thye have used this strategy from Poison until now, but Boomerang already proved times have changed, YL did it an other time, I don't hope they need a 3rd single to wake them up.

I could see them going over the 2nd single choice now, since I think they want to secure a song that is trong enough to secure the album release.

The reason why I suggested that maybe Nicole Scherzinger should focus on another country is because it's simply not worth it to focus on a country where the radio stations don't even play your song. The only country I know where radios are irrelevant is Japan, you can sell a million copies in a single day with zero airplay since sales are driven by TV promotions.

Nicole is 35 years old, she can't continue having mediocre success if she seriously wants to do a "world tour" and all that.

She easily could have had Germany, Australia and various Europe countries in the palm of her hand, yet she focuses completely on the UK, semi on France and then turns to the US to f her era's up.

I hope the fact German and Australian promo is most likely set, that it will open the eyes of her team. It's nice to have a market that has your back, but since the UK radio have turned their back against her, she better save herself. Before one of her singles end up #30 with a full week of promo on family shows.

Japan could also be amarket along with Brazil

Japan, is, I believe the second biggest market? They're very welcoming and she has an opportunity to own that market.


I would like her to release a ballad. The British GP love a good ballad and Nicole's vocals will shine effortlessly - if she releases around November time she can promote this on XFactor.

As I said in that thread, she MUST release a vocally powerful but still radio/TV friendly song and perform it on The XF to once again show how brilliant can she sing and the GP would defo be there for her. Then she should come back to perform with one of the finalist if Simon's, Louis' or Cheryl's act goes to the final

Cold world/Run. I'm all in for one of these 2 cuz I have a feeling that those 2 are the types of songs we all want as the 2nd single.

And as it seems, Rihanna will release her album somewhere in November, Cheryl will too, so those are 2 weeks not to release in. Little Mix are set to release the album in that period so - the first or the second week of October please. With The XF, Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, Graham Norton & every possible show performances IN THE RELEASE WEEK

Is there any indication at all that Nicole Scherzinger releasing a ballad or mid-tempo will actually translate to sales? From what I've seen its all speculation from people.

I agree that Australia, Japan and Brazil are like untapped markets for Nicole. Right now in the UK and the USA, she's just playing catch up.

China is a MONSTER market aswell but that is still untouched. Record Labels from the West are trying to promote their acts there in the upcoming year tho, so maybe she'll try cause the economy has a lot of bootleg and such but STILL record sales there is still growing.

The person I responded to included Brazil in his list, which isn't a major music market, but does have a strong fan base for Nicole. I'm not sure if Japan or any other East Asian country does. There's no point is promoting in an area if no one's interested.

I think I just don't care anymore about teh chartpositions aslong as it is satisfying enough for her team to get her album out. Her team will always find a way to let one thing or an other slip in the end.

I don't understand why the UK turned on her, I thought she was pretty big there. Anyway, I feel like YL has the potential to be one of those break out hits, one nobody really expects. Sonically, it's a big song compared everything else that's playing on US radio. Release late July/early August, just in time for back to school, and she'd have a party staple.
