It is an official source and it is possible, but we can't pass the number off until there is an exact source link given. In Germany, songs charted based on income brought in and not copies sold so when a song is discounted, it doesn't get a huge chart boost like it does in the U.S.
Ohh Mariah is right after her with 43-45 million. Britney recently surpassed her in 2013.
I wonder how many of her ranks can go up with a couple of hit songs and a decent selling album. I'm sure for most countries she's not far away from the next person above her
