I talked to a contact through Hilary and this is the reason why there was no pre-order. Since the album comes out Tuesday I'm allowed to share. It makes a lot of sense so BOW at RCA. Just don't share this information on Twitter or anything

We won’t be putting up a pre-order on iTunes. We want her album to peak as high as possible on the iTunes album chart and pre-order purchases are reflected on the chart when purchased.

This is great news and I understand their rationale. One thing though, Josh...what's gonna stop someone from posting this on Twitter now?

Very disappointing chart positions so far. Especially NL. Hilary used to be huge here.

They are tragic but at the same time, there was absolutely no promo so these are the consequences.

Well, as far as I know Pre-orders actually help the album peak higher...cause once the album is released at 11pm they automatically count all the pre-orders at the same time and the album shoots up the iTunes Charts.

It was actually big news on this forum a few months ago when the rules changed and it was stated that albums put up for pre-orders wouldn't shoot up on the charts anymore as they would be counted when the copy sold.

Disappointed in the album. Regret downloading it. It's a shame, this will probably be her last album Unless she gets naked like Nick and releases a good single.

Anyway I predict a 50 score in Metacritic (not many reviews) and 15k total sales ww.

Its still Hilary Duff one of the biggest stars in the world, she will get reviews from every major source and she'll sell over 15K in the USA alone.
