Singers are usually advised to avoid alcohol completely as it dries out mucous membranes (such as the mouth) and can damage the vocal cords. You don't have to drink daily for it to negatively impact your voice.
I also that said that the alcohol wasn't helping, not that it was the primary cause of her recent vocal difficulties.
It's not because she's drinking. It's more because of the last 2 weeks. She was super busy.

Girl hasn't had much time off. Last week she was in TX even on her off days she was busy with friends and family. But she'll get some rest coming up and get back to the tour routine of one show then a day or two off.
Thats a shitload of flying & singing. No need to stop the tour, she just had the busiest week ever. It was bound to effect her voice somehow. Its temporary, simple rest will do a world of wonders.
