I always just think of Paramore as "that band with that Twilight song" so it's hard for me to take them very seriously as artists.

But "Twilight is the first series of books I've ever read. I didn't get into the Harry Potter series, even though I love the movies. Twilight really caught my attention and held it. It is bigger, even they don't have a Top 20 song yet, Decode is not their highest or most successful song and A Thousand Years is the most successful Twilight song so its not like Decode its their biggest song for them to be known as the Twilight band? Is it?
And as I said, Paramore had 2 albums out before the Twilight soundtrack and were Grammy nominated so I don't get how you can't take them seriously as artists? I think Decode speaks for itself and it speaks volumes of what Paramore are capable to do as writers and artists as they adapted the book into a song, which it really does represent it.
Now Paramore wants to be in the Pitch Perfect and the Hunger Games soundtrack, if they do one of them or both of them will they now be known as the Pitch Perfect band?
Probably not since Pitch Perfect and Hunger Games soundtracks were not multi platinum hit albums.
The most successful Twilight musical entity is the first soundtrack, and the first soundtrack's main hit was Decode.
A Thousand Years has certainly sold more than its parent soundtrack, so it's not as associated with the soundtrack.
And basically I think Twilight's really gross and disturbing in its themes, and I feel uncomfortable with someone who loves it. I've actually read every terrible book in the series so I'm not uninformed.

But A Thousand Years is Bella & Edward's love song and it was even used as the soundtrack for not one but the last two Twilight films and since it was more successful than Decode, would it make it the Twilight song? and Christina Perri the Twilight singer?

How is saying you can't take them seriously as artists nice again?
Anytime I read one of his comments he's always throwing shade on anyone. But he always says positive stuff about those artists he thinks they're not serious enough for him.
