That's such an awful feeling to have. Not knowing whether or not you should commit because you're afraid of losing them. But, ultimately, do what you think is best for you (though I'm sure that's murky right now). If you aren't ready to commit, then that's the end of the discussion. Committing to him because you think he might be a good fit
in the future isn't a good idea and could lead to you resenting him, in my opinion.
