Same could have been said about Roy; the bitch was NOT needed yet Sakurai and co added him. The DLC characters are clearly being chosen by popularity and fan request. Wolf is the only character left that they can easily make and its the most popular.

The DLC character have been good so far imo. Idk why Mewtwo wasn't on the original roster, Lucas is not a clone of Ness and Ryu is a brand new character. Roy on the other hand

I feel like we are getting two more characters; Wolf and the DLC ballot character.

Well, Sakurai is apparently announcing something at the Fire Emblem 25th Anniversary Concert, and everyone expected it to be Roy DLC, but he already got released, soooo...

Did you guys know she has been in more Donkey Kong games than Donkey Kong himself? She was one of the very first female Nintendo characters besides Samus to get her own game? She has tons of moveset possibilities and she a very recognizable character. Almost an icon. I mean you can't just add a character because they're a cute female.. You have to consider relavancy, history with nintendo, representation of the series, etc.

Donkey Kong only has 2 characters and is in Nintendo's Top 5 franchises. DK could easily get away with 4 playable characters. Dixie definitely in. K Rool is pretty irrelevant nowadays but if he has another appearance soon I can see him returning.

Wario and Metroid both deserve 1 more rep. Ashley or Mona for Wario, and Metroid or Dark Samus for Metroid.


Okami is in my Top 10 games of all time but no way in hell does Amaterasu deserve in. I love her but she has no significant ties to Nintendo. There is wayyyy better choices for a 3rd party fighter. I would add Black Mage from Final a fantasy as the next 3rd party fighter for Smash 5.

I would loveee Bayonetta but at the same time I don't see her getting in at all. Too sexy, too dependent on guns. They would get rid of her signature gun heels, and censor her wicked weave and at that point it's not even Bayonetta anymore.. But hey maybe they could make her work. Personal bias makes me reaaaalllyyyy want her but I know there is better 3rd party options.

I actually think it''s a fairly good price, considering how much work goes into it. Like, idk what's the average price of DLC for characters in other fighting games is, but $4 each seems decent.

Apparently she's supposed to be added to Project M as DLC, but as far as an official release, idk. But like, imo, in a perfect Smash game where every IP had perfect representation, I'd imagine she'd be one of like 7 FE reps (Marth, Ike, Roy, Robin, Lucina, Chrom, and Lyn would be great imo, although I don't know too much about Fire Emblem)

Each character is £4.49 for both consoles, which is equivalent of $7 so I guess that's my issue.

It's how it is with everything here in the grand scheme of things it's not too pricey but I don't use Ryu or Lucas anywhere near as much as Mewtwo and Roy but I had to have the full roster and that's when it feels like a lot of money.

I haven't either. As much as I like Ryu, the DLC is way too overpriced.

Yeah smash DLC is over priced :/ I've bought all of it for Wii U/3DS though except for the costumes. I don't ever use Miis soo..

But compared to the MK8 DLC these prices are just ridiculous.
