Edge, I want to thank you for your critiques. After every challenge, I can always count on you to tell me the truth, the honest truth. Your critiques have helped me grow and see things differently not only as a poster and competitor, but as a person. I respect you as a poster and honestly am surprised by how unique and refreshing your judging style is. Aside from maybe one challenge, I've never read one of your critiques and felt like I didn't understand what I needed to improve on. Thank you for being clear with me. I've had a lot of preconceived notions about who you are, but you are actually a really cool, insightful person, I see that now through your judging. To be honest, your comments have helped me the most.

Julian. Yes, you told me that I've not been doing as well as I could have this cycle, but that I'm not letting you down but I feel like it. You've been rooting for me all along, and I want to thank you for the encouragement and support. I really want to impress you and the rest of the judges, and it gets really frustrating because I know I haven't been doing that well in this competition at all for the most part.

Katie. Hi. I feel like I haven't really ever spoken to you, even though I have. I know you're busy in your life right now, but I really do miss how you used to judge, and your hints. I understood what you said about a Top Member presence, but it just didn't make sense to me how you said you could see by the entries who we are and our presence. Also, you also said you're open to anyone taking over the competition but that boyonce = Kitt, edge = pika, collin = anna comment was really disheartening. But I get that you were just going by everyone's runs in the competition.

EDIT: Oh, you're leaving. Good luck with your pursuits in real life, I wish you the best.

boyonce. You're a wonderful judge, but sometimes it feels like you're playing favorites with Kitt. I see the similarities between you two and I can understand the connection you both have, and I may be wrong, but at times, to me, it doesn't feel you're being completely fair with your comments.

Doc. Um. I don't really have a problem with your seemingly short critiques, I just wish sometimes would elaborate more on what to improve on. I know sometimes the best advice is the short advice.

Matty. You've been an amazing host and judge. All of your comments and critiques have been very helpful. Thanks you for setting us straight in the TinyChat, we really needed that tough love. Honestly I feel we've just been keeping all our frustrations bottled up and venting them in secret, when what we should be doing is talking about them openly, like Top Members. As a judge, I've spoken to you only and only gotten to know you for the most part. I appreciate your insight, thank you.

Tbh I'm not going through a good time in my life right now, I use ATRL as a means to escape my problems. This site has made such a huge impact on my life this past year, and I'm grateful to have gotten this far. It feels nice to get some things off my chest. I still have a lot of personal development to go through, and I feel like everyone can sense it. Edge has all along said that I seem scattered, Anna said that I have the least potential because I don't really know who I am yet or how to present myself, pika said I need some sort of confidence booster.

Anyway, I'd just like to thank the judges yet again, and say that the opportunity to be in this competition and improve myself, the memories and friends I've made along the way, and the experiences I've had here are priceless and mean a lot to me.

And I'm throwing this out there: y'all can talk **** about me all y'all want in your TinyChats but don't you all ever think y'all (especially the ones not even in the competition) are some badasses by bad mouthing the rest of the judges. We are not obligated to judge you in a game on a forum. We are not obligated to take time out of our lives to participate in a game that you signed up for. We do our best and we each focus on what part of the entry is important to us.

Just do your best and you will be acknowledged and rewarded accordingly. Don't ever think we're playing favorites cuz I sure as hell am not.

Going on what Pika said, I agree. While what we said can be mean, we're just frustrated and at times we just feel lost, like I've been in this recent challenges.

Like we were talking to Matty, we don't get some of the judging and sometimes it feels like some judges are playing favorites and sometimes we don't know how we can impress a judge, if they say very few things to help us out. I understand every judge has been here before, but each cycle has had different judges, and overall I think a lot of us are feeling lost sometimes and just want more.

I mean I adore the way Edge judges, he surprised me but he's given me the best pieces of advice, and its not like we don't like any of the judges, we all respect you.



I would just like more pieces of advice/critique other then "you're not going hard enough".

Not according to the screen shots I have but that's not what I'm concerned about. I get worse from a certain stanbase everyday and what you all say is nothing in comparison.

As Doc said, since you want us to be detailed in our critiques, be detailed in what you want from us, to our faces. Stop hiding and speak up. This is great practice for real life.

And I just wanna clear something up. We're not in there trash talking you guys and saying things like

"Doc is an evil bitch, can't judge for ****" or "Edge is a loser like" or etc.

Nothing like that has ever been said, yeah sometimes we can kii kii about things and over-exaggerate but its not like we're in there saying some shady **** behind ya'lls back.

All we did was comment on and discuss the judging and the competition, we're not ATRL skull dragging any of you guys, and we're not saying anything malicious.

Very few parts of our tinychats even deal with the competition.

Mkay, well, my parents are already in bed so I don't have a way to properly vent my feelings out and I'm quite known for being a bit emotional. So, let's go.

I've been stuck on mobile due to a fight with Comcast. I've been trying to be as present as possible and offer what I can. It's lacking, yes. I thought since there were other judges, that wouldn't matter as much.

I did not play favourites. Zaid had a god damn avatar with that scumbag in it and I still gave him a good score because the entry was good. If I can let my anger for that worthless waste of space go, then I can let anything go.

this thread has been dead for a while so I assumed most of the posts were happening in that chat. Fine. But don't act all nice in here and let your **** go in there. That's weak. Anyone who spent the last month trashing me, or anyone else, can just pop off.

Things are not well in my life right now. You guys think it's just so terrible that judges in an online game are giving short critiques? Try hearing that people who you considered friends (online, but still) have spent weeks saying bad things about you on another site.

All the contestants basically know how I feel about them, I'm usually very honest and upfront when the opportunity comes. But when it comes to the judges, I'm not as forthright as I want to be in the thread.

Matty: Nothing to comment on your flawless judging style. The only battle I've had to deal came to light within the last 2-3 days. Our new friendship and the new friends I've made from here - it's easy to get caught in the crossfire between the two instead of figuring out how to make them co-exist during the tournament

Katie: Ever since this, I can't help but feel like you literally have a distate for me, as juvenile as that may sound. But as a contestant who wants to win, I hope you understand where I'm coming from. The moment a judge singles you out in some way, it eats at you until most likely a boiling point. Maybe in general ATRL, I can tell when you're messing, but not as much in a judge/contestant relationship. I'm not as perfect as you

Doc: ff, I really don't have anything to say as well. You generally always give me good critiques, yet never make it apparent if I'm a personal favorite or not, which is all any contestant can ask for. Although I do wish your commentary was a bit more informative as well, I remember saying earlier in the game how I loved how your judging was an exact mirror to my thoughts as a contestant reading the entries. Concise, yet blunt.

Boyonce: Love. No problems really. The only problem I've had, and has kept me from voicing my thoughts in the thread, was a critique of yours during the smiley challenge. You pointed out a comment I made after the smiley entries were revealed and it looked like you docked me for it. After that, I was afraid to say anything that came across as if I didn't have much confidence in my entry after submissions - I just didn't want to get docked for something I said/did OUTSIDE an entry.

Chapstick: Your entry comments have been I've been irking me the past few rounds because all I've been reading was "WHAT HAPPENED??! YOUR SPARK? WHERES THE KITT WE ALL LOVED?!?" whenever I didn't put on some sort of Gaga performance in my entries. I get it though, you want the best out of me, but it's just bothersome when I'm trying to make an entry I'm proud of rather than something to impress the judges.

Edge: I didn't get to answer your question awhile back. But I've been surprised the most with you because, partly of my own ignorance, I wasn't expecting your judging style to be so.... informative and helpful, just like a mentor should be. I feel like out of all the judges critiques (sans Matty's speech when I had that mini breakdown), I've learned from yours the most. Boyonce and chapstick do come close though.
