Phoebe Tonkin hosts & performs on SNL, shades Amanda Bynes and Miley Cyrus, praises Drake

Phoebe Tonkin hosted hit show series Saturday Night Live and also performed her two songs during the show too. During her one, Phoebe shaded and dragged Amanda Bynes. Also, Phoebe performed her new single Bedtime Stories and premiered a new song Twentynine Palms, performing it for the first time live and anywhere. During the show, her hair was always messy but beautiful at the same time, and she didn't wore any of extensions - she left her hair be short as it is, and it actually fits her face shape more than her longer hair. She changed her outfits four times, two of them were for her skits and other two were for her performances.

In her first sketch, she shaded Amanda Bynes, portraying her - Phoebe wore electric blue wig. Skit was based on a talk show, and she was a guest on it, talking like she's on drugs, always mumbling and saying stuff like 'Drake is gorgeous', 'I want that Canadian meat of his' and stuff like that. Through all the skit, Phoebe, as Amanda, was wearing black shades and blue wig, and was always going through her hair with her fingers as she thinks she is something fabolous. Later, she said stuff like 'I don't smoke weed, but I like it, it helps me to get away from world' and 'I think Molly Cyrus is really tasteful'.

Later, Phoebe Tonkin performed her first song this evening, called Twentynine Palms. She performed that song for the first time ever, but it sounded, like she rehearsing for this performance for months, because everything went better than she was expecting and that was plannes. It is a song based on a relationship between guy and a girl, that got off, and a girl asks the guy, did he remembers those times when they met each other under twentynine palms. Phoebe actually revealed, that she wrote that song based on her relationship with a guy that she met in Twentynine Palms city, California, during her summer break. It is a slow-tempo, not acoustic, ballad, but on the show, Phoebe decided to perform an acoustic version of it with a help from violins, piano, guitar and. Her voice was soft during verses, but during choruses and bridge, she showed what can her voice actually do, and she showed those real vocals, probably doing them better than even Adele. Good thing was that audience was actually silent during her performance, so Phoebe could focus on her vocals and emotions, but after her performance, everyone in audience went wild for her, because it seemed like people liked Twentynine Palms song.

Then, Phoebe performed her second song this evening, her latest and first ever single, Bedtime Stories. She performed it with her whole live band, which meant that she actually performed it not acousticly. Everything went well, her voice was perfect and sounded amazing, it collided with live band's instrumental and became a beautiful harmony. Phoebe's performance of Bedtime Stories was really simple, she was standing infront of micstand all the time while she was performing. Her stage decorations were simple too - there were only wall of lights behind her and live band, with thousand of little lights and flaslights hanging on the wall. Although her performance was simple and decorations were simple too, her performance was somehow still efective, because it was like a mini intimate show between her and the audience, and that light wall actually made it more intimate and comfortable.
